Shortly after Greg (Mike's Dad) finished the kitchen set for the girls, he started on this - a bed. Right now it is only half way completed. It also needs to be painted as soon as the weather gets warmer and it can dry in a decent amount of time. It is a platform bed - made incredibly strong. At the foot of the bed there is a drawer. The next phase is to make the stairs (instead of a ladder) and a twin bunk. Emma is really excited to sleep up high and Ellie will soon have her own full bed to sleep on.
On a different note, the girls slept at Mike's parents on Saturday. They love sleeping there and it gives Mike and I a little rest. In the morning Emma was Grandpa's little helper - she helped him build something for Grandma. Meanwhile, Ellie played with babies a lot. It is really nice having people around that don't mind watching your kids for the night so you can wake up refreshed!
